Staatsrat Dr. Nikolas Hill (Ministry of Culture Hamburg) will open the 10th cinefest on November 16, 2013.
Durin the opening ceremony the Reinhold Schünzel Award will be presented.
On November 20, 2013, the Willy Haas Awards will be presented durng the opening of the Film History Conference.

Director Peter Fleischmann will present his film DOROTHEAS RACHE (FRG 1973/74) on Sunday, November 17 at 7pm.
Actor Christian Wolff will be present at the screening of ANDERS ALS DU UND ICH (§175) (FRG 1957, Dir: Veit Harlan) on Friday, November 22 at 6:30pm. In the film he made his debut as movie actor.
Director Iris Gusner presents her film DIE TAUBE AUF DEM DACH (GDR 1972/73) on Wednesday, November 20 at 7.30pm at the opening of the Film History Conference.
Director Rainer Simon will attend the screening of his film JADUP UND BOEL (GDR 1979-81) on Thursday, November 21 at 7pm.
Author Günter Kunert and director Günter Stahnke will be present at the screening of their film MONOLOG FÜR EINEN TAXIFAHRER (GDR 1962) .
Actress Jutta Hoffmann will attend the screening of KARLA on Saturday, November 23 at 5pm.

We will present the German sound-on-disc Version of PANZERKREUZER POTEMKIN (SU 1925/30, Sergej M. Eisenstein) with the music of Edmund Meisel in HD-Quality. As supporting film we will show the documentary POTJEMKIN FREI! (GDR 1974, Ulrich Weiß)
We will show the mutilated and abridged German dubbed version from 1952 of CASABLANCA (US 1942, Michael Curtiz), which has been ridded entirely of any Nazi context.
Regurlarly we present films with a special connection to Hamburg.
